We had a nice steady ENE wind near the top end for A rigs to start the day with a mix of A and B rigs on the water.

Apart from a little bit of floating weed (probably from the wild life) todays sailing had people smiling and was much less frustrating with a predictable wind from the WNW.

GOOD NEWS! Sailing returns to the Sanford Road Lake for the DF65 Scratch Race tomorrow, usual 9.30am start.

The water level is much higher after the rains and the bottom weed level seems to have dropped as well, so fingers crossed we can continue on there from this week.

A slightly stronger breeze and this time from the ENE, so still very tricky to work your way to windward and stay in the puffs downwind.

7 sailors today for handicap racing in a very fickle ESE wind.

A SE breeze that was a little less erratic than the last few races, for the 6 sailors at Warrenup today.

With the wind shifting further to the East, the challenges become even greater with the trees swirling the wind thru 360 degrees.

Another exercise in patience today with 7 sailors trying to work out the best way thru the swirling SE to NE breeze, sometimes running and sometimes beating on what should be the downwind leg.

Temporary Sailing Venue Change

VENUE CHANGE NOTICE:

Due to weed and level issues the sailing venue has been shifted to the lake at Warrenup on Wiltshire Crescent for all DF sailing.

IOM sailing is on hold with intermittent sailing at venues decided on depending on the weather. Sailors will be advised by email.

Also note that where the calendar shows sailing at Nth Road, the above note supersedes the venue noted in the calendar until further notice.
