We had 8 sailors on the water for the 9th Champ race today.
The wind started in the NE at a gentle speed then swung towards the E and finished quite strong from the ESE. The encroaching weed did not cause any trouble today but did shorten our windward legs.
Every week the racing gets closer, one mistake can see several places lost. There were 5 different winners today as slight adjustments and different winds saw boats come to the fore.
Once again Peter B #818 managed to keep just ahead of the fleet with 3 wins, followed by Les B #652, Grant T #38 and John K #29 in 2nd to 4th with one point separating each.
Next was Brian H #45 with 2 wins in 5th and Geoff C #24 with 1 win in 6th, followed by Colin Mc #735 and Brian R #31 in 7th and 8th.
