The forecast was for a B rig breeze, but it started out as a gusty A rig from the SW, so the couple of A rigs did well downwind for the first couple of heats.

The wind began to increase and shift to the SSW and a couple of top mark changes and changes from A to B rigs saw the fleet settle into the usual battle of the shifts at the windward mark.

Thanks to Brian S #281 for doing the RO duties after boat damage forced him off the water.

There were quite a few contact incidents today in the gusty conditions, remember to look ahead and make decisions to keep clear, go behind or tack early, (Reminder to self).

A well-deserved 1st place today with 4 wins was Peter B #818 who took advantage of the lighter breeze to win first up with the A rig then continue to be up front after a change to B rig. In 2nd was John K #29 who is now sailing consistently fast (when not infringed by others) and Grant T #38 in 3rd.

In 4th was Gary E #83 who carried the A rig all day, one point ahead of Geoff C #24 in 5th who showed his speed when the tuning is right. Next in 6th was Brian H #45 who got off to a flier winning the 2nd and 3rd heats, followed by Les B #652, Colin Mc #735 and Brian S #281.
