As the morning progressed the B rigs were doing better and the breeze became an Easterly and strengthened, which prompted a change from A to B rigs for Phil and John and both immediately improved. Grant T snuck into 1st ahead of John K who had 4 straight wins after the rig change came 2nd and Phil R who was consistent with both A and B rigs in 3rd. Les B (missed the last 2 heats with rudder servo failure) and Brian R were 4th and 5th on equal points, Geoff C was 6th after missing the last 4 heats, also with rudder servo failure and Warren S in 7th, who struggled carrying the A rig all day.
