Only 4 of us braved the blustery E wind and rain for today’s heat.
Les B, Phil R and Grant T came with C rigs and Brian H with a B. Brian’s was the best choice as the wind only occasionally got up to the top of B.
There were many occasions where the cry of “not bloody weed again” could be heard as boats were either stopped or drastically slowed by the floating weed.
Brian was sailing really well with his B rig in the light breeze so we dropped his handicap back to 100 to even out the contest, unfortunately his day came to an end with a snap, as a gust of wind hit just as he was lifting his boat from the water and his jib boom became two pieces.
Coming out on top was Grant T #38 just ahead of Phil R #32 and Les B #652 with Brian H #45 in 4th having 3 wins before disaster hit.
