10 boats started today in an ESE breeze that fluctuated between ideal A+ and should we now change to A or B.
There were a few problems with floating weed and also some mechanical issues which saw the fleets vary from a full 9 down to 4.
Les skilfully managed to catch the backstay hook on strands of the nylon rope attached to one of the weed marker buoys and it required Brian H and Phil R to take Brian’s car to get Phil’s kayak to retrieve #652, a big thanks to both of you.
Tony T #18 continued his good run to take 1st place with Geoff C #24 consistently up there for 2nd and Brian H #645 also sailing well in the stronger breezes in 3rd.
One point back in 4th was John K #29 followed by Grant T #38 one point behind him.
Then followed Peter T #34, Phil R #297, Les B #52, Brian R #94 who all missed the last 4 heats and Peter B #43 who only sailed 2 heats before having to leave.
