Racing was delayed in getting started with large swings in the wind from the East to the South, finally settling in the SE at 5 - 12 Kts, still swinging but much less so giving plenty of opportunies to windward'
Ten boats were on-course with tricky conditions to kick off with due to a highly variable wind direction and ranged in strength from 0-4 knts. Eventually the wind settled to a 5-10knt southerly and the course changes kept the racing with good windward/return legs.Read More
A fleet of 12 took to the lake/pond/drain/water and sailed a split series of handicap and scratch races. Initially with 4 handicap followed by 4 scratch, the additional races were designated scratch. The breeze for the morning took sometime to settle from swinging from the ENE to the SSE. Racing got started when it partially settled to in the East, however was still moving some 10-15 degrees during the race. Course changes were frequent, moving between the East and SE.

Colin Westerberg wins on the day, Colin sailed really consistently, finishing the day with six 1st and five 2nd placings. Greg had his moments but wasn't sailing with the same consistency.
The breeze started in the NE at 10 - 15 kts, finishing in the East at 15 - 20 kts. The breeze was swinging considerably when it had some north in it and more settled as it moved to the East.Read More
